Toddle Along Tuesday ~ Photo Bloopers
This week I am linking up again to Mama G @ Growing Up Geeky for Toddle Along Tuesday. This week's topic is photo bloopers.
Since I can't seem to stop taking pictures of the munchkin I have tons of photos worthy of being the funniest, but I'll settle for the few below.
I was snapping pictures and got a few of him sort of smiling. I went to take one more and got this face - I call it the 'Dude - I stink!' face

Two seconds before I snapped the picture he was smiling. Right as my finger hit the button he gave me his pouty face.
I was working from home with him and the only thing keeping him entertained was chewing on my arm.
And one of my all time favorites - we were trying to get a nice little family picture one night when we were out to dinner with friends. Andrew let us know what he thought of that idea:
I could go on and on - Andrew is a funny kid. There is no doubt that he keeps us entertained and I know there will be many funny pictures to come. I just hope there's enough room on our hard drive to handle them all :)

Our Easter Weekend
I love three day weekends. I wish every weekend was three days long. I swear I would be willing to work four 10 hour days to get a three day weekend every weekend. Of course then I would probably hate the long days and miss my munchkin then, too.
Anyway, I took this past Friday off for Good Friday. Our daycare was closed so we had an extra day with the cutest sweetest kid ever (though I may be biased on that :) ). Friday was kind of a lazy day (the weather was iffy) and we made a trip to the dollar store and Wal-Mart to get some goodies for the munchkin's Easter basket.
Saturday morning we headed downtown to Hampton Park for a little Easter egg hunt. Apparently it started right on time because we missed the actual egg hunt, but we still got to meet the Easter Bunny:
And take some pictures while hanging out with some friends:
When we got home it was time for Andrew's nap and J and I took advantage of that time to get some work done on the fence:
Yesterday we had a fun day at home. Yes, we're a bunch of heathens and didn't make it to church or anything. We let the munchkin play with his Easter toys:
Hung out on the deck with the dogs for a bit while he played with the water sprayer:
Trimmed a limb out of the neighbor's tree that overhangs our yard and shades our garden (they are out of town this week - hope they don't notice the gaping hole when they get back!):
And strapped the munchkin to me so we could take a little ride in the golf cart down to the park and Pitt Street. It was a little windy down there, but the weather was gorgeous:
All in all it was a wonderful weekend - I'm just sad that it's already over.

Is that you, AF?
Not that anyone cares to know about the inner workings of my body, but it's my blog and this is what's on my mind at the moment, so here you go.
My last little monthly visitor was July 4, 2010. Yep - 21 months ago (thank you breastfeeding!). I have to say I haven't missed dealing with that every month one bit. And I'm sure J hasn't missed dealing with my moody ass every month, either. But now that thoughts of Munchkin 2.0 are dancing in my head, I'm starting to wonder when it's gonna come.
This past weekend I had very very light spotting. That lasted through Monday and on Tuesday I had a couple hours of possible light flow (and that's being generous). Yesterday there was nothing. So I'm not sure if that was really it, or if this is just my body gearing up to get back in the swing of things. I mean, it's been 21 months so I've kind of been expecting the mother of all periods with hideous cramps and the kind of bleeding that requires a whole box of super plus tampons.
Don't get me wrong - I would be thrilled if this was the new norm, but something tells me this was just a sneak peek and when the real show starts I'm gonna be hating life. It would be kind of sweet if I could get knocked up again and put it off for another 21 or so months, but I'm not getting my hopes up on that one. Especially since J and I need to sit down and decide if we are in fact ready to start going for #2.
I've started kind of charting again just to get back in the swing of things, but since I'm not even sure what that was I have no idea where I actually am in a cycle. It was kind of funny to enter data into the app and see that my last "cycle" was 638 days long.
I assume now that breastfeeding is coming to an end - or at least pumping will be - that I can expect things to start back up with a vengeance in the very near future. Something tells me that it isn't going to be fun...

March Body
Well, I didn't get in as many miles in March as I did in February, but I still surpassed my 50 mile goal. I was able to get in 52.9 miles, which isn't too bad considering there was a week when Andrew was sick and hitting the gym wasn't a super high priority. I've gotten some more outdoor runs in, including a few times over the bridge (with J pushing the munchkin in the stroller). We also did the bridge run this past weekend and even though I didn't get a PR I did do ok I guess:
I don't know that I've gotten my eating habits back on track, but I'm trying. With being so busy this past week getting ready for his party and everything else I don't think I ate as much. Oh, and since my supply has started drying up I will not have the excuse of needing the extra calories any longer. Hopefully that motivates me to get my habits in check
Anyway, here is my comparison from February to March:
I don't see much difference with the front shots except my chest looks bony and weird in the March one. I hope that's just the lighting and not how it really looks.
I think my belly looks a little flatter this month, but that might just be the way I was standing. My boobs also look flatter. I chalk that up to the milk starting to dry up.
So hopefully by next month I will be in shape enough to bare this body at the beach. This year I don't have the "I just had a baby" excuse to fall back on. I have a feeling I'll be so busy chasing Andrew around the beach - and trying to keep the sand out of his mouth - that I won't have time to sit back and compare myself to other people out there, though.
My goal for April is to hit 60 miles - let's see if I can do it.

It's Party Time!
Saturday was Andrew's birthday party and despite the fact that we were rushed and I looked like a hot mess I think it was a success. The rushing around and my hot messness were due to me scheduling his party for 1:00 in the afternoon on the day that J and I were also running the Cooper River Bridge run - with 43,000 other people. If the race had started at 8:00 like it was supposed to we would have been ok, but it started an hour late so I was freaking out. Oh well, at least it didn't rain!
I was glad that people were able to hang out outside on the deck instead of everyone being crammed into our house. The blond standing on the far side of the table is one of our daycare providers, Andrea. She and Marc came and bought Andrew a little swimming pool that we will be using in the back yard this summer. I can't wait to put him in it!

So even though it wasn't a big fancy theme party I think it turned out pretty well. Everyone ate, drank, and was merry and Andrew has some new and obnoxiously loud toys to play with.

Andrew was trying to get daddy's beer while I was trying to get his birthday hat on him.
Then it was time for him to dig in to his dinosaur cake. It came out ok, even though it was kind of falling apart and had to be slapped back together with icing. It was still pretty tasty :)
We all sang 'Happy Birthday' to him and I blew out the candle since he didn't know what to think of it.
Surprisingly he didn't dig right in.
Even his cousin Kendall was encouraging him to go for it. Or more likely she wanted to grab the cake to get revenge for Andrew stealing her hot dog chunks off of her plate while they were eating lunch earlier.
"If you don't eat it I will!"
"Mmmmmm... tasty."
Then he started to get the hang of it.

Excuse my appearance. There was no time to actually do my hair before people showed up at our house.

The birthday boy was all smiles after making his mess.
Then it was time for presents!
His cousin, Kayleigh, helped him with the unwrapping. She is 4 and loves to unwrap presents.
Now he has some Penguins and Steelers sippy cups that we will be trying to get him to drink his milk out of.
Kendall watched him chewing on his little Steelers guy
Kayleigh helping with more unwrapping
Playing with his new Winnie the Pooh phone.
And after all the excitement he was ready to curl up with a new book.
