Our Easter Weekend

I love three day weekends.  I wish every weekend was three days long. I swear I would be willing to work four 10 hour days to get a three day weekend every weekend.  Of course then I would probably hate the long days and miss my munchkin then, too.

Anyway, I took this past Friday off for Good Friday. Our daycare was closed so we had an extra day with the cutest sweetest kid ever (though I may  be biased on that  :) ).  Friday was kind of a lazy day (the weather was iffy) and we made a trip to the dollar store and Wal-Mart to get some goodies for the munchkin's Easter basket.

Saturday morning we headed downtown to Hampton Park for a little Easter egg hunt.  Apparently it started right on time because we missed the actual egg hunt, but we still got to meet the Easter Bunny:

And take some pictures while hanging out with some friends:

When we got home it was time for Andrew's nap and J and I took advantage of that time to get some work done on the fence:

Yesterday we had a fun day at home.  Yes, we're a bunch of heathens and didn't make it to church or anything.   We let the munchkin play with his Easter toys:

Hung out on the deck with the dogs for a bit while he played with the water sprayer:

Trimmed a limb out of the neighbor's tree that overhangs our yard and shades our garden (they are out of town this week - hope they don't notice the gaping hole when they get back!):

And strapped the munchkin to me so we could take a little ride in the golf cart down to the park and Pitt Street.  It was a little windy down there, but the weather was gorgeous:

All in all it was a wonderful weekend - I'm just sad that it's already over.

  1. I just told my mom on Thurday that if I could work longer days 4 days a week I'd soooo do it! I think I'd be such a happier person!

    1. I worked at a tv station as my first "real" job out of college and the last year there I worked four 10's. It was great except my "weekend" was Wed-Fri and I worked the overnight Tues night so I didn't finish up until 8:00 Wed morning.

  4. The palm trees in your yard make me jealous!

We're visiting Savannah GA this fall and are going to poke around at some houses for sale, and I must have a palm tree. LOL.

Oh right, and Happy Easter! Haha~
